Iam planning my holiday trip to pattaya. I would like to know there is any amount restriction to bring money? do you suggest me to convert my Indian money to Thai Bhat or convert it after coming to thailand

I'm going to Thailand on holiday soon , and I would like to know where is the best place to go ?
Unless there is a good exchange rate occurring before your trip, then I would suggest you simply do your conversion after you enter Thailand on a more or less “as you go” basis.
On a side note: I hope you speak Thai, as doing so will get you “Thai” prices. It is also better to buy merchandise and food from street vendors or local stores and eateries; the prices at malls are jacked up for the same quality of product. And the “Thai” price for things are usually anywhere from 5 to 20% that of those they charge foreigners (farangs). If you don’t speak Thai, then know you can barter them to a much lower price then they have displayed, anywhere from 50 to 75% off the asking price.

There is an onshore Thai Baht Exchange Rate and an offshore Thai Baht Exchane rate. At the moment the offshore rate is about Baht 32.7 = USD1 = INR 41and the onshore rate is about Baht 34.5 = USD1 = INR 41. So, all things remaining equal, you be better of changing your money in Thailand as then you’ll get the onshore rate rather than the offshore rate.
baht not bhat
There are no restrictions on the amount of foreign currency or Thai Baht you bring into Thailand, there also are no restrictions on the amount of foreign currency you take out of Thailand. There is a limit of 50,000 Thai baht that can be taken out of Thailand. You will almost always get a better exchange here in Thailand, just “shop” around for the best rate.
